Jackie and Tony Williams welcome you all to Brightlycott Cottage Guesthouse. This is a family run business which is open all year round, including the Christmas holiday period. We have now been welcoming guests to Brightlycott Cottage for many years and aim to offer a friendly and relaxed service. We are a smallholding of some 19 acres to which guests generally have access. We have goats, sheep, ponies, chickens and geese.
Brightlycott Cottage is situated in a peaceful rural setting in the heart of the Tarka countryside on the edge of the hamlet of Burridge and high above the valley, commanding stunning views looking out across the valley at the deer that roam freely on the hillside opposite. We are within easy reach of beautiful Exmoor.
Indeed due to the rural setting, it is hard to believe that we are less than three miles from Barnstaple, a bustling town nestling in the valley of the River Taw that is and has been from time immemorial, the administrative, commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It was the first town with Borough status in the country to celebrate its 1000 year anniversary
