Jackie & Tony Williams welcome you all to Brightlycott Cottage Guesthouse.This is a family-run business which is open all year round, including the Christmas holiday period. We have now been welcoming guests to Brightlycott Cottage for over 10 years and offer our combination of friendly and relaxed service, coupled with our Bed and Breakfast breaks and unique Chauffeur Driven Holiday breaks that appeal to so many. Brightlycott Cottage is a smallholding of some 19 acres, which guests have access to. We have goats, sheep, ponies, chickens and geese

Brightlycott Cottage is situated in a peaceful rural setting in the heart of the Tarka countryside on the edge of Burridge village and high above the valley, commanding stunning views looking out across the valley and at the deer that roam freely on the hillside opposite, and approximately nine miles from the edge of Exmoor.

Indeed, due to its rural setting, it is hard to believe that Brightlycott Cottage is less than three miles away from Barnstaple a pleasant town, nestling in the valley of the River Taw, seven miles from the mouth of the river, has many claims to distinction: it is now and has been from time immemorial, the administrative, commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It was the first town with Borough status in the country to celebrate its 1000-year anniversary.
