About North Devon

Brightlycott Cottage is located close to  the rugged North Devon coast, where there is plenty to explore, whether it is the spectacular coastline or the delightful moorland reaches of Exmoor with its rolling hills and quaint villages; we are the ideal base for walking the Tarka Trail and Heritage Coastal Path; or take a trip to Lundy Island on the supply vessel M.S. Oldenburg, the island is a delightful, unspoilt nature reserve.
Not far from us are the unique villages of Lynton and Lynmouth with it’s cliff top railway, to the west the delights of Clovelly and close by; the market town of Barnstaple with its shops and the famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row.
Nearby are the Blue Flag beaches of Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe and Ilfracombe’s Tunnels Beaches.
The many National Trust and stately homes in the area are worth investigating, as are the gardens of Marwood Hill and Rosemoor.
You will find plenty to do in and around North Devon with a wonderful range of activities available to suit all tastes:

Just some of the attractions in North Devon include, the Big Sheep, Exmoor Zoo, Kilarney Springs, the gardens at RHS Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal, Hartland Abbey and the Milky Way.
